Mommy Sangha

Free meditation community for moms of all ages

What is Mommy Sangha?

Mommy Sangha is a free supportive community of moms, stepmoms, and grandmothers who come together to practice meditation and share our collective wisdom and experiences. Balancing the responsibilities of caring for young children can often cause one's meditation practice to take a backseat. However, having a built-in community or "sangha" of like-minded moms who prioritize meditation and incorporate Buddhist teachings into their families' lives makes practice workable.

Begun by the Open Heart Project and Jenna Hollenstein, Mommy Sangha began back in 2016 as an online safe space for moms to explore the dynamics of practice, and also come together in support of one another’s journeys into motherhood.

No meditation experience is needed. This community grows from the principle that we all have within us a basic goodness and that we are worthy of having love and respect exactly as we are. We speak openly about not only the struggles of motherhood, but also how we can support one another in continuing the work with whatever. Meetings are recorded and available to members for the following week.

Online Wednesdays, 1:00 - 1:30 PM ET

Meditation, mindfulness, fertility

Mindfulness is a powerful support for every stage of the journey—fertility, pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. In my conversation with Fringe Fertility host Kerry Hinds, we unpacked meditation and mindfulness, making it easier to understand and use these practices. I shared how mindfulness calms the overwhelm, especially in fertility, and brings grounding and focus when you need it most.
